Description

All methods used during the project helped the design team to grasp the importance of understanding both the subject and the stakeholder to create something that actually is usable. By involving both future users and psychologists the team realised the fine line between what the user wants and what the user needs. During the design process the team was faced with the challenge to accommodate both.

The design process has led up to what Sprout is today, an interactive prototype of an application that aims to motivate a user through their CBT-journey and offers a space for the user to reflect on their journey. In combination with the mobile app there is a hologram-tree projecting the user's journey in the form of a bonsai tree that is growing and developing together with the user.

Sprout’s possible future would mean continuous development in the form of introducing and testing the tool during a real patient's treatment to evaluate if the tool is motivating and facilitating the treatment in the way that is hoped for.
