For this project we were tasked with creating and programming a dynamic system within a “smart home” for a family of four. We first brainstormed about some household problems common for families with young children, and after that tried to come up with some solutions. Several problems were identified but two were prioritized, the family's screen time and cleaning habits.
The idea was to use screen time as a motivator for cleaning, by rewarding different chores with a certain amount of minutes.
We worked in iterations to create the system prototype, and the end result was a prototype created in Processing with an interactive UI and simulated sensors controlled with sliders.
